July Meeting

This month we will be eating free pizza handing out information on the upcoming movies the Northwest Indiana Spinal Cord Injury Group will be presenting at the Portage 16 theater and the Spinal Cord Injury Walk 2008 fund raiser on September 21st. There are many new things on the horizon for the NWI SCI Group, input from all members is welcome.

August 2nd will be the next scheduled meeting.

The group meetings are open to anyone. Persons with or without spinal cord injury, friends or family, or anyone just wanting to learn more about spinal cord injuries are welcome.

Working 2 Walk pictures

Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, a national advocacy organization has posted pictures from the last four years of their Working 2 Walk Symposium/Rallies.

W2W is a three day event held in Washington DC, that unites the scientists working on a cure for paralysis and the patient advocates lobbying and raising awareness. For two days there is an exchange of ideas between the two groups, from which encouragement and inspiration grows. The third day is reserved for visiting your lawmakers and telling them what is most important to you, and urging them to support legislation that could have a positive effect on the lives of those living with paralysis.

June Meeting
